石雕雕刻设计手法多种多样，可以分为浮雕，圆雕，沉雕，影雕，镂雕，透雕。

2、圆雕。是单体存在的立体拟造型艺术品，石料每个面都要求进行加工，工艺以镂空技法和精细剁斧见长。此类雕件种类很多，多数以单一石块雕塑，也有由多块石料组合而成的，此类雕体发展了多促微型产品，有的小似果核，有的薄如蝉翼，更是巧夺天工，被称为“微雕”。此类产品已完全脱离建筑实用而成为纯工艺品，由于小巧而更便于携带，为纪念性珍品，发展前景甚佳。
